Power Right is proud to have delivered a comprehensive security system upgrade at Dunnes flagship Knocknacarra location – a 7,100 sqm purpose-built retail unit, recently extended by an additional 650 sqm.
This major refurbishment included architectural, mechanical, and electrical services — and our team was tasked with securing the entire site with state-of-the-art surveillance and access control systems.
Scope of Works:
CCTV System – Powered by Avigilon
125 Avigilon cameras installed (H5 Domes, H5 Fisheye & H5 Bullet models)
Full IP-based networked solution
Network Video Recorder (NVR) for secure storage
Workstations installed at both the Security Room and Security Podium
Full system integration and commissioning by our in-house experts
Access Control – ACT Vanderbilt System
Installed at staff entrances, security room, cash office, and comms room
Integrated with the Avigilon CCTV system for unified operation
Centralised management for authorised personnel access
Installation & Teamwork:
Project delivered by a dedicated team combining our Galway-based installers and support from our Sligo crew, all under the guidance of our Installation Manager
Installers worked in teams to ensure a safe, efficient second fix in all public areas
Comms room and access door integration delivered to PSA and industry standards.
Service & Compliance:
Routine maintenance and servicing carried out in line with PSA 33:2014 and PSA 2006:12
